Description
Step into the profound world of Yi Quan under the guidance of Master Peter Wei Sheng Zhu, a third-generation lineage holder tracing directly back to the art’s founder, Master Wang Xiangzhai (1885–1963).
This course presents an authentic and comprehensive transmission of Yi Quan, from the foundational standing practices to the deeper principles of mind-intent and internal cultivation.
The training is divided into two parts:
- Part One is taught by Richard Robertson, a long-time disciple of Master Zhu with over 25 years of dedicated training. Richard provides clear, step-by-step instruction in the foundational standing postures, breathing methods, and preparatory movement exercises that form the essential base of Yi Quan.
- Part Two is taught directly by Master Peter Wei Sheng Zhu, who reveals the advanced standing methods, Yi Quan Qi Gong set, and the inner principles of intent and stillness that lead to genuine internal power.
Throughout the course, Master Zhu also shares personal stories of his teacher, Han Xingqiao, and the early masters of Yi Quan, bringing the art’s history and philosophy to life in an intimate and authentic way.
A downloadable PDF companion guide is included, featuring the history of Yi Quan, explanations of training methods, and rare archival photos of Master Wang Xiangzhai, Master Han Xing Qiao, and Master Peter Zhu.
Whether you are a martial artist seeking the internal roots of power, or someone interested in the profound healing and meditative effects of standing practice, this course provides a structured path to develop intent, alignment, and awareness— the three pillars of true internal cultivation.
About the Teachers
Master Peter Wei Sheng Zhu
Master Peter Zhu is a third-generation lineage holder of Yi Quan, in the direct line of Wang Xiangzhai → Han Xingqiao → Peter Wei Sheng Zhu. He began training under Master Han in China before bringing Yi Quan to Australia in 1983.
With over 40 years of continuous daily practice, he has refined and expanded upon this ancient art, integrating it with his expertise in Tui Na (traditional Chinese massage therapy) and Chinese medical theory. Master Zhu’s approach emphasizes natural posture, relaxation, and awareness as the true source of internal power and healing.
He now shares this lifelong training publicly for the first time — to preserve a lineage that bridges martial cultivation, health, and self-transformation.
Richard Robertson
Master Zhu’s senior assistant, Richard Robertson has dedicated decades to the study of Yi Quan. His clear instruction makes complex principles accessible to all students, ensuring a correct and safe foundation in standing meditation, breathing, and movement.
