8. Taiji Kicking Methods – My Journey EP8

Following on from last week’s episode where I discussed my experience training Muay Thai in Thailand, in this video, I’m joined by a special guest, my teacher Liang Dehua to compare the kicking methods of Muay Thai and Taiji Quan—demonstrating the differences between striking with the bone and hitting with the connective tissue to send the Nei Jin (internal force) into the opponent’s body. If you have ever wondered how Taiji Jin is used in application, then you don’t want to miss this episode as Sifu Liang shares many insights that I have never seen revealed publically on any video until now.

  1. Hi everyone, I apologize for any background noise in the first part of the video. Unfortunately, the Muay Thai gyms in Chiang Mai are closed due to the lockdowns, so I had no choice but to film the intro outside my house; however, my neighbor also decided to renovate his home on the same day of filming. Murphy’s law :))

    1. Haha, even if you know what’s coming you still can’t prepare yourself enough for the pain that follows. Sifu Liang is quite humble, he usually doesn’t show striking techniques in public.
