I just thought I’d add that some teachers teach that the hara/ dantien is the centre of gravity, and is the correct use of the full weight of the body.
However, in Dan Harden’s system, the dantien is something completely different to the CoG. As he says in most seminars, ‘it is not something you are born with’, it is something you must develop. Almost no one has a dantien at all in these terms.
