  • Sinking the Qi (Chi)

Posted by Thomas Riinstain on 8th March 2021 at 12:11 pm

I’ve found myself going down a Mark Rasmus rabbit hole since discovering him recently on this site. This is an interesting video of Mark discussing the idea of sinking the chi as he describes it as hydraulically pressuring the system and also how to apply it both for training and martially. Good stuff!

I like that he is articulated and can explain the most complex instructions in a way that is easy to understand. I’ve been thinking about getting back into Tai Chi and Chi Gung again mainly because I feel like I have a shot of getting some internal skill after watching his videos.

I can not get his course right now but I want to share one thing, this video from him blow my mind, I suddenly understood a very pratical thing that explain a lot of things.

If you watch the Nima King interview by martial man on youtube you can connect the things and understand why can be easy to disrupt the root of one bigger person than you.

But on the video below Mark Rasmus is much more direct and explain weel what is the mecanics behind, is a thing that I will train to be able to do myself.

And people that have a background on hipnosys can understand what happen as well, is all about the right timing and get the time when your partner lost concious control on the muscles.
