I one of Maul’s senior students and I have been training with Maul for almost 10 years. I can only recommend to meet him when he will be able to travel again. He is one of the most skilled and nicest person I know.

Looks like a very practical art. There doesn’t seem to be many instructors in Silat within the UK – Essex and East London area. I have heard that is particularly effective against weapon attacks (knives and bottles).
